Flight SW Team Leader - 280

Flight Team

Controlling a flying camera with C++? No big deal. Just have to compensate for the movement of the camera as it scans, so the image doesn’t smear. Oh yes, and the aircraft also moves quite a bit (it flies…), so remember to compensate for that. Then synchronize these inputs with GPS data, gyros, aircraft telemetry and image sensors and that’s all there is to it! Well, aside from the shutters and optical elements that operate based on location and height. And temperature (it gets cold up there). That and the nice vibrations we get from the mechanics (and the aircraft itself). Well, actually, it’s even more complex than that, but you get the point.

Managing this team means:

  • Building, maintaining and leveraging the technological skills of the group.
  • Overseeing the full development cycle of multiple R&D projects.
  • Directing interfaces within the company (product management, system, hardware, QA, customers support).
  • Leading a delivery focused team.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in managing SW teams in multi-disciplinary environment for at least 3 years
  • Extensive programming experience and deep knowledge of C++
  • Experience in working with hardware, firmware and basic electronics
  • Experience must include functional leadership, project planning.
  • Ability to manage in a dynamic environment.
  • Results oriented critical thinker and innovative problem solver.
  • Hands-on leader who can work closely with multiple levels within the organization.
  • A good eye for detail and a strong passion for software quality
  • Good communication skills: both verbal and in writing

SW Developer - 238

Job Description

Oh yes, and the aircraft also moves quite a bit (it flies…), so remember to compensate for that. Ground Team

Capturing hi-res aerial imagery is only half the story. Our ground systems analyze these images using computer vision algorithms, ultimately reconstructing very accurate 3D geometrical models of everything covered during a flight. These are massive-scale computations that require many CPUs, some happening in real-time and some during post-processing. Aside from designing for scalability (hundreds of cores) and robustness (operational systems that must recover from any error), we’re faced with performance challenges, which include intelligent caching strategies, distribution of labor over CPUs and RAM, efficient storage and data retrieval solutions, optimizing resource utilization… you get the picture.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive programming experience and deep knowledge of C++
  • Good design intuition and analysis skills: both SW and system
  • Good communication skills: both verbal and in writing
  • A good eye for detail and a strong passion for software quality
  • Good team-player, but still independent and capable of working on his/her own
  • Goal oriented, gets things done
  • Fast learner capable of self-study

Advantages

  • Not afraid to work with hardware, firmware and basic electronics
