Innovating Airborne Imaging Systems


Itai joined VisionMap in 2016 as General Manager, following the company’s acquisition by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. With a strong technical background, Itai brings with him over 20 years of executive management experience in both the hi-tech industry and the public sector. Areas of expertise include complex program management, international business development, and team leadership.

Among his prior positions, Itai served as Senior Director of Elbit Systems’ Integrated Thermal Systems Business Unit, and as Electro-optical Systems Manager at Rafael, where he led the unit’s business development for airborne, land and maritime applications.

Itai holds an MBA from Haifa University, as well as a B.Sc in Aeronautical & Aerospace Engineering from Israel’s renowned Technion Institute of Technology.

Eyal joined VisionMap in 2015 as the company's CFO. Eyal brings with him over 15 years of experience in the financial and management arena across various areas including: strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, cost reduction, systems implementation and streamlining reporting and due diligence.

Among his prior positions, Eyal served as CFO of MGS Group, Finance Director of the Open University, as well as senior financial positions of large organizations in the fields of hi-tech, retail & wholesale, project management and more.

Eyal is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds an Executive MBA from Bar-Ilan University as well as a BB, Bachelor of Business, major in Accounting from Israel's College of Management.

Alon joined VisionMap in 2008 to establish a professional supply chain operation. Alon brings many years of successful experience as a senior executive in operations, purchasing, logistics and supply chain management.

Prior to joining VisionMap, Alon served as VP of Operations in VocalTech Communications, a global provider of carrier-class multimedia and voice-over-IP solutions. Among his previous positions, Alon served for eight years as Director of Operations in Tdsoft Communication, and managed the Electronics and Purchasing departments in Eshed Robotic.

Alon holds a B.A in Business Administration (Cum Laude) from Derby University in Israel, and Computer and Electronic Technician degree from Tel Aviv University.

Yuri joined VisionMap in 2008. He is responsible for the definition, investigation, verification, and certification of the A3 aerial survey and mapping system.

Prior to VisionMap, Yuri worked as the Chief of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing and the National GIS Manager at the Survey of Israel, and as a guest lecturer at the Israel Institute of Technology.

Yuri has more than 25 years of experience in photogrammetry, aerial survey, mapping, GIS, standardization, mapping and GIS products development. He published almost 50 papers on different themes of photogrammetry, GIS and standardization, and prepared more than 20 national technical instructions, standards, and specifications. He is an ILSPRS (Israel Society of Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing) council member, and a member of ALSI ( Association of Licensed Surveyors in Israel). He served as the chairman in the Commission on the GIS Standardization of the Standards Institution of Israel, the Standardization Group of the Inter Ministry Commission on Geoinformation, and the Commission on the Technical Standards and Specifications for Photogrammetry and Topographic Mapping in the Survey of Israel.

Yuri graduated the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) with a Masters degree in aerial survey and photogrammetry. He obtained a Ph.D. in photogrammetry from the Moscow State Research Institute of Geodesy, Aerial Survey, and Cartography (CNIIGaiK).

Dvir joined VisionMap in 2012 and leads the development teams to excel in the research, development and delivery of VisionMap systems.

Prior to his current position, Dvir held various roles in Visionmap's R&D department, leverging over 15 years' experience of designing, researching and managing electro optical solutions in the Israeli high-tech defense and commercial industries.

Dvir began his engineering career at the Israeli Ministry of Defense Electronics Research Department ("ERD"), an organization tasked with developing innovative, state of the art, highly reliable, multi-disciplinary systems.

Dvir holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Holon Institute of Technology.

Gal joined VisionMap in September 2015 as the company's Director of Human Resources. Prior to VisionMap, Gal served as an integral part of the Human Resource Team in Applied Materials, where she formed close partnerships with managers and employees to leverage the organization's talent and human resources. Gal also brings with her extensive experience in leading organizational processes such as performance management, student programs, global mobility and more.

Gal holds a B.A from Tel Aviv University in Sociology and Anthropology, and an M.A. in Social Psychology from Bar Ilan University. Today, Gal applies her experience and insights to all aspects of VisionMap's human resources activities.
