VisionMap's aerial photography systems capture high-resolution aerial imagery at incredible rates. We're faced with the challenge of exposing vast amounts of imagery data to the client, in real-time and on the web. These web applications have to be able to visualize multiple layers of raster and vector information, in 3D and 2D; track thousands of moving objects over large geographical areas in real time and still be fast and easy to use.

Responsibilities

Design rich web applications from server to client and lead a team of developers in multiple platforms and languages. 
Server side: scalable, robust and distributed server architecture that interfaces with multiple data sources in real-time. Expose VisionMap's core algorithmic capabilities as web services and consume those services on the client-side.
Client side: design beautiful and powerful GUIs that visualize heavy imagery and motion tracking data and lets users navigate and mine these data in multiple dimensions (3D navigation, time axis, tracking, etc.).

Requirements

• Experience and passion for web technologies: web protocols, client technologies.
• The broader the experience - the better.
• Experience with Adobe Flex - advantage.
• Experience with DB systems, scalable distributed computing and caching.
• At least 5 years experience with .Net, especially C# and ASP.Net.
• Experience with Visual C++, especially C++/CLI - strong advantage.
• Polyglots are preferred (we use C++, C#, Python and ActionScript heavily).
• Proven team leading capabilities and recommendations.
• Strong methodological background and proven track record of improving development processes.
• Smart, fast-learning and interacts well with even smarter people.
